Alessandra Ambrosio has a new reason to sparkle.
The 45-year-old supermodel is showing off the massive diamond engagement ring she received from Australian jewelry designer Buck Palmer after the couple revealed they are getting married.
Ambrosio and Palmer announced their engagement on August 11, sharing photos from Palmer’s romantic beach proposal. Although the announcement is new, the proposal actually happened in April during a trip to Indonesia.
A ring designed to stand out
The engagement ring features a large rectangular diamond set on a gold band. Jewelry experts have estimated the center stone at roughly 4 to 6 carats, although the exact specifications and value have not been publicly confirmed.
The ring carries an especially personal connection because Palmer is himself a jewelry designer.
Ambrosio offered fans a closer look at the diamond in social-media photos following the engagement announcement. The couple’s original proposal pictures showed Palmer getting down on one knee on a beach while the two stood inside a heart decorated with red tropical flowers.
The couple first publicly confirmed their relationship in December 2024. Since then, they have appeared together at several public events and shared glimpses of their relationship on social media.
For Ambrosio, the engagement begins a new chapter after one of modeling’s most recognizable careers. The Brazilian star became internationally famous through Victoria’s Secret, serving as an Angel from 2004 until 2017.
Ambrosio was previously engaged to businessman Jamie Mazur. They share two children and ended their relationship in 2018.
Now, after keeping their April engagement private for several months, Ambrosio and Palmer are sharing their celebration — and that attention-grabbing diamond — with the world.
